Over the past 10 years, FICC contracted and completed a number of projects in the Middle East and North Africa (such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Algeria and etc.), among which the categories include both power plant and chemical plant. And in them, the professional strong points have guided FICC to keen on the works for Civil, Arch. and Steel Structure. Moreover, during this period, FICC have worked with several Korean engineering companies together in the field of international contracting market, including Hyundai Engineering Co Ltd., meantime FICC have established a very good partnership of mutual trust in between.

Under the process of overseas project and cooperation between the contracting parties, FICC have been kept the concept of “obeying the contract, abiding by regulations, good management, daring to face the difficulties”, and in the tough environment, FICC still implemented and completed the contract works on time as per the required quality and gained the praise from its co-operative partners.




 
Karbala Project

While Iraqi Karbala Project is the one with its owner of Iraqi National Oil Company and with its general contractor, Korean HDEC, we are the one as one of its Subcontractors to undertake Civil Works of USD 8.7 million Contract as the part of it. And the project is located in Karbala, 88 km southwest of Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, consumed with total about 300manpower (including foreign manpower), along with 110 thousand cubic meters of earthwork and 20 thousand cubic meters of concrete. Also the project is undertaking smoothly and nowadays has entered into ending stage, and has created good economic and social benefits under the condition of manpower safety.


 

EDRF Project

While Saudi EDRF Project, full name of Ethane Deep Refinery Project, is one for deep processing ethane in Saudi Arabia with its owner, SAUDI ARAMCO (Saudi Arabian American Oil Co), and the General Contractor, Korea HDEC, we are as one of the subcontractors to undertake the civil contract of USD 26.68million as a part of it. The project is located in Eastern Othmania Province of Saudi Arabia, and started in August 2017 for about 2 years and also with 100 thousand cubic meters of earthwork and 21 thousand cubic meters of concrete, as well as the fourth projects in Saudi Arabia undertaken by FICC. Nowadays the efficient FICC’s work style has won good reputation for Owners and Contractors of the project.


Mirfa IWPP Project

Mirfa IWPP was the second project FICC undertook for power plant in the United Arab Emirates in which Jebel Ali Phase“L” was the first one. The total 1,350 MW installed capacity of Mirfa IWPP was with its Owner: Mirfa International Power Water Corporation and the General Contractor: Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. The total US$35 million contract of above was signed at the end of 2014 with two years of its construction period.

The Civil Work was FICC’s scope in this contracting works including the portion of materials, equipment, manpower and logistic in which two records were made for both contract volume and scope of work in the history of FICC’s overseas projects. Finally, the successful implementation of it was one of FICC’s milestones which were just like the turning point of its business march from its original form of manpower supply subcontract in principal to the new form of providing with almost all the packages service.


KUSU Project

The Shuaiba North Co-Generation (briefly called KUSU) was the first overseas subcontracting project FICC undertook in Kuwait. The total 855 MW installed capacity of the project was with the Owner: The Ministry of Water and Power of Kuwait, and the General Contractor: Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. The total 36 months construction period was with 24 months subcontract period.

In this project, FICC’s contractual scope of work was construction of Civil, Arch. and Steel Structure. On the adverse condition of limited construction period with more large quantity of works and also complicated construction environment, all of FICC’s jobsite people, under the guidance of FICC jobsite team, carrying forward the working style of “striving to be the first and hard work”, have completed all the contractual works as per required on schedule. In the end, the quantities FICC completed in this project were 120,000m3 concrete; 14,000T reinforcing bar; 25,000m2 formwork; 10,000T steel structure; 12 million USD contract value.


Ma’aden Project

This project was located in Ras Al-Khair Industrial Zone, 90 kilometers away from Zubair industrial zone in northwest portion of Saudi Arabia with its linked datum as following: The Owner of this Project: MBAC; EPC General Contractor: Hyundai Engineering Co Ltd; Annual Production Capacity of the Project: 4.3 million tons of bauxite and 1.8 million tons of alumina respectively; Total Cost of the Project: US$1.65 billion; Construction Period: 29 months.

As the successful bidder on civil package of this project in the very beginning, FICC, participated not only Civil, but also Arch. and Steel Structure Works with six packages works of the project as per required. In fact, FICC completed works in total value of US$27 million which made a record in the history of FICC as maximum contract value within a single project. The project lasted for two years and mobilized manpower over 800. In all, FICC completed the contractual work on time and as per required quality until its fully satisfactory acceptance. In addition, the another recode, made in the history of FICC in this project, was 6,000m3 of concrete by one time continuous casting for 30 hours which has crossed new thresholds of FICC on its construction for overseas engineering project.
